Isaac is the son of Kenneth and Pauline Abidde. Isaac graduated from Westover High School with a 3.2 gpa. Isaac received a scholarship and has committed to attend Loomis Chaffee Prep School in Windsor, Connecticut for a postgrad year. Isaac will further advance and develop his academic and athletic abilities while at Loomis before committing to a major D1 University of his choice.
Kendall Coleman is the son of Willie and Kenosha Coleman. Kendall is a 2021 graduate from Westover Comprehensive High School. Kendall also received his Associates Degree from Albany Technical College this spring. He is the recipient of The Albany Ga Class of 1972 Scholarship, The Omega Psi Phi Wilbur B. Carver Memorial Scholarship and one of the first to receive the Louise Bailey Webb Scholarship. Kendall was a member of the 2020 Albany Jack and Jill Beautillion Militaire and a four year member of the National Honors Society at Westover. Kendall will attend Kennesaw State University in the Fall where he plans to major in Sport Management. Kendall’s family is extremely proud of him for his hard work during the pandemic earning a 3.44 GPA while working a part time job and a tough course schedule his last semester. One of the quotes Kendall often remembers is from Nathan Chen “Never give up. There are always tough times, regardless of what you do in anything in life. Be able to push through those times and maintain your ultimate goal.” Thank you my Second Mount Zion for recognizing your 2021 graduates.
Kason Lamar Jones is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Eddie Jones. Kason graduated from Monroe Comprehensive High School. Kason was a member of the track and field team which he specialized in the 400m event and previous State Champion and Runner-up, he was also a member of the Beta Club and National Honor Society which he maintained a 3.3 GPA. He is an active member of the community, Kason volunteers with the CHAMPS youth program and The Arc of Southwest GA formerly Albany ARC. When he is not busy with school or sports, Kason enjoys running, working out, playing video games and listening to music. Kason will continue his academic career on a Track and Field Scholarship at Southern University in Baton Rouge, LA and major in Family and Consumer Science with a concentration in Human Nutrition and Food and pursue a career as a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist.
Jasmine Lumpkin graduated from Albany Technical College with an Associate’s Degree in Accounting. Jasmine is married to Elfondrick and they have one son Emmanuel. Jasmine is employed at Marine Corps Logistics Base as a Financial Technician. Her favorite bible verse is Galatians 6:9 Let us not grow weary in well doing, for in due season, you shall reap if you faint not. Jasmine is currently enrolled at Valdosta State University and is expected to graduate in Summer 2022. Advice for students, you can learn something from anyone, even if it’s what not to do.
Kaylee Jade Malone is the recent graduate of THE Monroe Comprehensive High School. She is the daughter of Mrs. Sheila Florence, Officer Jimmy Florence and Perrotta Malone. Kaylee has four siblings Kascey Malone, Jaicen Malone, Cameron Williams and Demetrius Daniels. She is the grand–daughter of Harriet and Jake Malone, Ethel Lester and the late Sergeant Jimmy Lester. Kaylee attended Radium Springs Elementary School and Radium Middle School before going to Monroe High School. While in high school, she participated in several high school social clubs (BLACK GIRLS CODE, Stepping Out Girls Mentoring Club, Georgia Student Ambassadors Program , DELTA GEMS and the Chick-fil-a Leadership Group. Kaylee was also a Dual Enrollment student and took college courses during her eleventh and twelfth grade school years. Kaylee is thankful to have Godin her life, thankful for her family, friends, and church members for encouraging her through the years. Kaylee’s favorite bible verse is Mark 9:23, “Jesus said unto him, If thou canst believe, all things are possible to him that believeth. She plans to further her education at Georgia Southwestern State University and will be majoring in Middle Grades Education with a minor in Political Science starting in Fall 2021.
JeCard is the youngest son of Deacon Carl and Sonji Parker. He first graduated from Abraham Baldwin Agricultural College in 2018 with his Associates of Science degree in Business Administration. JeCardcontinued his education at Valdosta State University where he received his Bachelors of Business Administration with a concentration in Accounting in December 2020. He was also a member of Beta Alpha Psi business club. JeCard’s plans for further education in the near future is to receive his master’s degree. As a short term goal he wants to become a Financial Advisor.
Jadon & Jared Osei
Jadon Osei is a Georgia native that grew up in DCSS and graduated from Westover High School. She took AP and dual enrollment courses, played soccer, and ran cross country and track and field. She was number two in the region for cross country. She also participated in FBLA, Beta club and volunteered with Brianiac’s Summer Program and Samaritan Purse. She will be attending Georgia State in the fall, majoring in Biology to later pursue a career in pediatric dentistry! She plans to own a practice of her own and specialize in dental treatment for low-income children.
Jared Osei is a Georgia native that completed middle school and high school in our very own Dougherty County school system. He and his twin sister Jadon, were dedicated to the Lord at 2nd Mt. Zion in 2003 and recently graduated from Westover High school. He participated in AP and dual enrollment courses, as well as ran cross country, where he was region champ and track and field. He going to attend Kennesaw State University in the fall, majoring in is Mechanical Engineering. He is the grandson of Janice Osei and son of Tonita O. and Ashley McKnight.
